"Print me a picture"

Charlotte (mostly called Char these days) is TOTALLY into coloring. And this is not the simple days of my youth when you colored in a coloring book. Oh no, what the kids are doing these days is going onto GoogleImages.com and finding the excact picture they want and having their parents print, and print some more and then find baby elephants to print, and then baby kitties and print those, and then ask for the image larger, and then crying at my ignorance of how to do that.......wait sorry, maybe that's just at my house.

Like I was saying, what the kids are into these days is GoogleImages.com. It's friggin awesome. Not only is it "free" (minus the expense of ink & paper) she can get exactly what she wants. I just type in "coloring pages of _____" and a thousand and one different ones come up.

It's glorious.

It's wonderful.

It's at the tip of my fingies.

It's instantaneous.

My daughter loves me more.

I love technology.

But I will always remember with love my Strawberry Shortcake coloring book that the had yellowing pages & smelled kinda funny.

I like them good old days too.

Sympathy

I knew it already but got a chance to know it some more....my kids are very sympathetic people.

Backstory: I fractured my right hand.

No, there is no cool story, but let's pretend there was....

Okay so, I was in Honduras doing charity work at a local orphanage when out of the blue an angry mob of poverty stricken rascals came charging toward me. Knowing that it was me and only me standing in the way of the children's survival I took them down, one by one, with my
lone.....right....hand! hahaha.

Truthfully, I yanked two ironcast pots off the stove (staked on top of each other) and miscalculated (by like a trillion) the weight & didn't have time to use my other hand to help out before the damage was done.

Anyway.....I digress. The point of this post was not my stupid injury, but my amazing children. After seeing my bandage Lucas wanted to sport one with me. Even though it only lasted like seven minutes, it was very heartwarming. And Charlotte, oh bless her, has been petting me and asking to stroke my hand for me.

I LOVE my rascals!!

(I know, I know, I shouldn't be typing...but I am so bored right now because I can't do laundry or dishes, or anything cool hardly at all!! *whine, whine, whine*)

Fertile Myrtle

EVERY single egg in this carton was twins! I mean seriously...if it weren't for the fact that these are grass-fed, free-range, organic eggs I would be completely creeped out.

I am NOT kidding. TWELVE eggs in a row all were twins. Sheesh, and they called me fertile myrtle once.

Allie "Oh lord, please help me it's hot!"

Luke "Sorry mom the Lord won't help you."

Allie "Oh ya? Who will he help?"

Luke "Sorry mom, only me."

Charlotte pretends to be a different animal each night as she goes to bed. Tonight she was a lizard puppy who licks. It was hysterical.

Caught cheating

Dear John,

Lucas caught you tonight cheating them out of some pages of their bedtime story. I could not stop laughing in the other room and when you heard me you couldn't stop laughing. It was a funny moment and I am sure a bit sad for you. No more skipping pages....they're growing up honey!!

xo, your loving wife

Give me a sign

At our church event tonight they unveiled the new sign that went up on top of one of our churches on Fountain Ave and L. Ron Hubbard Way.

It is beautiful.

And makes me very proud.

Pretty thankful tonight.
